Online Therapy in New York

Licensed in New York. Serving clients across the state via secure video sessions.

Virtual therapy, wherever you are in New York

Whether you're in New York City — Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, or Staten Island — on Long Island, in Westchester, or anywhere upstate, virtual therapy makes it possible to get consistent, high-quality care without commuting, waiting rooms, or rearranging your day. All sessions are conducted via secure video and are fully confidential.

We're licensed to practice in New York and work with adults and adolescents navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship struggles, identity questions, and more. Our clinicians also specialize in EMDR therapy and culturally affirming care for AAPI and BIPOC clients.

If you're looking for a therapist in New York who offers flexible scheduling, a warm and direct approach, and experience across a range of concerns, we'd be glad to connect.

Online therapy for NYC — and everywhere else in New York

Most of our New York clients are in New York City: Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens especially. We don't keep a physical office — being fully online means no commute across the city, no waiting room, and a session that fits inside a real workday. It also means where you live doesn't limit who you can work with: clients on Long Island, in Westchester, and upstate get the same care as anyone in the five boroughs.

Insurance we accept in New York

In New York we're in-network with 1199SEIU Funds, Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield NY (formerly Empire), Highmark BlueShield of Northeastern NY, Highmark BCBS of Western New York, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, Curative, Horizon BCBS NJ, Oscar (Optum), Oxford (Optum), and United Healthcare (Optum). Billing runs through Headway, so with an in-network plan you pay only your copay.

Students: the student health plans at NYU, Columbia, Cornell, Fordham, SUNY, Hofstra and most other New York schools run on these same networks — see therapy for college students in New York.

If your plan isn't listed, we provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement. Details on the Fees & Insurance page.

Who we work with in New York

Many of our New York clients are students and adults in their twenties and thirties — AAPI, BIPOC, queer, children of immigrants, and people working in creative and demanding fields — navigating identity, burnout, and change. Everyone is welcome. Alongside talk therapy we offer EMDR for trauma and PTSD. Sessions are also available in Mandarin with Junli Xiao, MHC-I.

Common questions

Do you have an office in New York City?

No — our practice is fully online. Sessions happen over secure, HIPAA-compliant video, so you can meet with us from home in NYC, Long Island, Westchester, or anywhere else in New York State.

What if I travel or split time between states?

You need to be physically located in New York or Florida at the time of our session. Since we're licensed in both, the work can continue if you move or split time between them.

Do you offer therapy in Mandarin in New York?

Yes. Junli Xiao, MHC-I, offers online sessions in Mandarin and English for clients anywhere in New York State, including New York City, under the clinical supervision of Tina Liu, LMHC-D.
